Obituary of Danny Iceton
It is with immense sadness that the family of Daniel Iceton announces his death which occurred on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Born on January 9, 1955 in Halifax, he is the son of Mary (Marryatt) and the late Bruce “Jabs” Iceton.
Danny will be dearly missed by his loving and devoted wife Louise “Lou”, his siblings: Bonnie (Johnny) Dempsey, Stephen (Nina) Iceton and Jim Iceton, nephews: Darrell, Ian and Darren, niece Jessica, Lou’s son: Shawn (Beth), granddaughters: Martha and Greta, who were all very special to Danny, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends: Stan and Fran Grady, Frank Anderson and many more whom Danny thought the world of, in particular, his work mates at Ultra Electronics and Evershine.
Danny was a talented musician, accomplished drummer and always perfecting his skills on the guitar. He enjoyed many evenings jamming at “Bud’s Pub”. Danny was a proficient black belt in Judo, a sport which he enjoyed with his life long friend Bob Lejeune.
Danny’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Leah Genge for her outstanding care and concern for Danny over the years, along with her receptionist Susan, Danny’s favourite pharmacist at the Medicine Shop, Jamie Flynn, the oncology department at the Halifax Infirmary staff, in particular, Dr. Alzaway.
Arrangements have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax. At Danny’s request, there will be no service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the QEII Foundatioin – Oncology Department and online condolences may be left at www.walkerfh.com.
Rest in peace dearest Danny. We will love you always.
