January 2, 1952 – August 3, 2020
It is with very heavy hearts we announce that after a short, but courageous battle with cancer Daniel (Danny) R. Smith passed peacefully away surrounded by his family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, August 3, 2020.
A long-time resident of Chapel Arm, Danny is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sheila; children, David (Wanda), Tonya (Kyle), and Melanie (Mike); grandchildren, Tyson, Nicholas, Lesly-Anne, Ryan, and Emily; mother, Rowena; step-mother, Betty Lou; brothers, Wayne (Ruth) and Harry (Pauline); sisters, Sally (Calvin), Judy (Art), and Daphne (Rudy); brother-in-law, Doug; sisters-in-law, Mame, and Aggie (Adrian); as well as a large number of nieces and nephews, his work family, and a large circle of friends.
Cremation has taken place.
Join the family in a celebration of Danny’s life at his home in Chapel Arm on Saturday, August 8, 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
