Dale was born in Calgary, AB. on December 28, 1957. Shortly after this, the whole family moved to Clive, AB. where they made this their home around 1965.
At this time he attended elementary and Junior High School in Clive and then went on to attend High School in Lacombe, AB. After High School he entered SAIT in Calgary where he obtained his Journeymen Plumbers Certificate and did his apprenticeship at George’s Plumbing.
After receiving his certificate, he moved to Ponoka, where he met his first wife, Vangie and had two children, Cara (1981) and JC (1983).
While only staying in Ponoka for a short time, he moved to Red Deer where he obtained a job at Bruin’s Plumbing and Heating and was employed there for 19 years. At this time, he met and married his present wife Gail. So along with Sheila, Carmen, Cara and JC, they all moved to Lacombe, AB. where this has been their home ever since.
In 2006, Dale, Gail, JC and Jamie (wife), began the family business of Grayson Excavating.
Dale had many hobbies, but the ones he really enjoyed the most were his beloved: Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Stampeders, Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Raptors and NASCAR. He loved either watching them on TV or travelling to see them live with his best friend/wife Gail or with his many friends and family members making countless memories.
