April 04, 1935 – January 12, 2020

Cyril Paul Mallard passed away suddenly but peacefully on January 12, 2020, age 84 years. Cyril is predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Alice Mallard (nee Power), his son, Christopher Mallard, his parents, John Mallard and Ellen (Cunningham) Mallard, brothers Jim, Jackie, Gerald, George and David Mallard, sisters Margaret Doucette, Eileen Murray, Joan Dwyer, and Mary Davis, and other dear friends and relatives.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Anne Marie (Bob Conway), and grandchildren Allison (Ian Galbraith), Heather (David Caughey) and Mark Conway (Julia White). Cyril also leaves to mourn his daughter-in-law, Judy Furlong-Mallard, and grandchildren Christopher, Stephen and David Mallard. Also leaving to mourn siblings Pat (Beth) Mallard, Edward (Rita) Mallard, Maureen Johnson and Barbara (Gary) Phillips, as well as many nieces and nephews, members of the Power family, the Modern Business Equipment family, and a large circle of friends.
Cremation has taken place. The family will accept visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11 a.m from Corpus Christi Church. Private inurnment to follow later. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made to the Gathering Place in Cyril’s memory.
Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones shines down to let us know they are happy.
