It is with great sadness I announce the passing of my beloved Dad, Cyril (Cy) Hibbs age 69, after a short battle with cancer. His final days were surrounded by his loving family and close friends. Cyril was predeceased by Penny’s Mom (Betty Hibbs) and his parents Angus and Irene Hibbs. Leaving with precious memories his daughter Penny MacQuarrie (Scott), and three beautiful Granddaughters Olivia, Kaitlyn and Taylor. Two sons Keith and Corey, Brothers Jim Hibbs (Siobhan), Don Hibbs (Hilda), Sisters Donna Novak (Walter), Lona Badcock (Gord), Toni Hibbs, Juanita Holwell (Bill), Tracey Noah (Sean), Lynn Cooper (John), extended family Lillian Hibbs and a large circle of nieces and nephews.
My Dad was best known for his kindness, and happiest when giving to others. He had a special love for his granddaughters and expressed that love every day of his life. A heartfelt thank you to life-long friends Pat Skinner, Mack White, Philip Furlong, Jimmy Kavanagh, Pat Feehan, and a close circle of family, friends, and neighbours who have helped him through the last few years.
A special thank you to the Doctors and staff of 5SA at HSC.
At his request cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will follow at a later date. In my Dad’s memory be kind to one another.
