Obituary
With broken hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Cynthia “Cyndi” Rose Chisholm-Madill on August 19, 2020 at home with son, Thoryn, daughter, Ausstyn and husband, Michael by her side. She was born on March 20, 1967 in Saint John, NB to Bernard Sr. of Pictou, NS and Carol Ann (McCauley) Chisholm of Saint John, NB.
Cyndi was presently an honored employee and proud member of a very special team at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Rothesay. Cyndi was active in volleyball and many outdoor sports. She enjoyed multiple activities that involved friends and family. She enjoyed watching her children play their sports, and attended many events involving those who were close to her. Cyndi was very kind and always put others first. She was perpetually smiling. She never got angry, even when putting up with Michael’s antics. Her friends and family were the center of her life and the joy they brought her was endless.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Michael, she is survived by her adored children, Ausstyn and Thoryn; brothers, Bernard Jr. and Daniel Chisholm; several special nieces, as well as many, many friends.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Michael and Agnes (Knudsen) McCauley and paternal grandparents, Daniel and Florence Chisholm; her aunts, Margaret, Mary, Rose, and Bernadette; and uncles, Donald, Billy, Charlie and John and numerous dear friends.
Unfortunately, because of the sudden circumstances that we all have been forced to accept, COVID distancing and respect to each other must still be a priority as we all work together to honor Cyndi in such a manner that will not only bring comfort to all that wish to show care and support to her grieving family. This incredible family includes all the relatives and friends and unimaginable amount of acquaintances that we had the privilege to meet and admire over our lengthy and incredible experience we shared together. Our family, as much as we wish to greet, hug and personally appreciate every individual who wishes to share their thoughts, prayers and sympathy, we must ask to respectfully support our wishes and allow the closest of us the opportunity to gather without complications to everyone involved who is sharing this unwelcomed atmosphere. We wish to request all professional related condolences to be directed to our respective workplaces so they can be graciously received and appreciated by our co-worker families of those who are also similarly affected. All families involved wish to return their love and appreciation in advance, at this terrible time.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held from 12-3 on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Staff will be available at the main entrance of the funeral home to assist guests with social distancing measures when they arrive. Please note that physical distancing restrictions will be observed during the gathering. In keeping with the families wishes, a private funeral service will be held. For those who wish, memorial donations in her memory to the local P.R.O Kids chapter or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family. For those who wish, her funeral service will be recorded and the link will be posted on this page when the service has concluded.
