Obituary
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Curtis Raney at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on February 10, 2020 at the age of 59 years. Curt was born on May 2, 1960 to the late Wilfred and Hazel Raney (nee Kent).
Loved father of Jenniffer Ritchie (Marty), Lindsay Campbell (Brent) and Lisa Dewey (Ryan).
Papa Curt will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Nathan & Haylee Routh, Brody Campbell and Marcus and Maxx Dewey.
Dear brother of Kelly Raney-Taylor (Ron) and uncle of Kirsten Taylor ‘Pain’.
Curt will be sadly missed by his second family the Schmidt’s, his dear friend, Arlene Wain, his lifetime friend Dew Worm (Tim Hearn) and by his aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
Curt was an avid Boston Bruins Fan. He loved country music especially Stopping’ Tom Connors and Johnny Cash. Dad loved a good beer and card game. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
An informal visitation will take place at Raney Funeral Chapel on Sunday, February 16, 2020 1-4 pm with a time of story sharing at 4 pm.
Donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, the South River Food Bank or the Almaguin Pet Rescue would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
