It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cora Penafiel announce her sudden but peaceful passing on Monday, August 3, 2020 at the age of 78 years.
She will be lovingly remembered and cherished by her family especially children, Raymond (Mutya), Myra (Jason); six grandchildren, Maegan, Rylie, Raine, Brooklyn, Brianna, and India; as well as extended family and many dear friends in Canada, the United States, and the Philippines.
Cora was predeceased by her husband, Sixto; and daughter, Regina “Gina”.
A Visitation for family and friends will take place on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 6:00-9:00pm at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 114 St NW, Edmonton. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11:00am at St. Joseph’s Basilica, 10044 113 St NW, Edmonton. Due to COVID restrictions, the maximum number able to attend will be 100.
