Cook, Murray David William
Born in Belleville on July 28, 1929, a son of the late Dora (nee Robinson) and Grenville Cook, Murray, a longtime resident of Meaford and the former St. Vincent Township, passed away peacefully at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre on Thursday March 12, 2020 at the age of 90.
Murray is survived by his beloved wife, the former Lois Brown and will be remembered as the much loved father of Judy and her husband Laurie Hill and Poppa of their son Cameron all of the former St. Vincent Township. He was predeceased by a much loved granddaughter Kelleen Hill.
Murray was a dear brother to Dorothy Pillgrem, Fred Cook and his wife Shirley and Alan Cook and his wife Leanne all of Meaford. He was predeceased by brothers-in-law Douglas Richardson and Fred Pillgrem. He will be fondly remembered as a special uncle and great uncle to his several nieces and nephews and their families.
Family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home on Monday March 16 from 5 until 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at Meaford United Church on Tuesday March 17, 2020 at 11 a.m. with committal and interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
