Obituary of Constance Budd
Budd: Constance Winnifred
Connie Budd, aged 98, passed away surrounded by family February 3rd, two months minus a day short of her 99th birthday. Born April 2nd, 1921 in Campbelton, NB she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Montgomery) Anningson. She was predeceased by her husband Powies of over 50 years and infant daughter Catherine Linda. They made their home in New Richmond for many years until moving to Ontario. Connie was the last surviving member of her family of 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons Curtis (Brenda) of Nova Scotia, Grant (Jacquie) of Seeleys Bay, and Blake (Sylvia) of Manitoba, her grandchildren Gary of Ottawa and Melanie of Ottawa, great grandson Alexander of Nova Scotia and special granddaughters Charu and Neety, along with valued nieces and nephews.
Connie was an air woman who served during the Second World War in the Royal Canadian Airforce, Women’s Division in Europe as a rigger packing parachutes. Connie was very proud of her military career, an avid traveller, known to go on road trips with her niece Brenda, and dedicated wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Connie was a woman well loved who led a life well lived. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those she left behind. A celebration of life will be held in May in New Richmond, QC.
