Constance (Connie) Edris Carr
1928-2020
It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of
Constance Edris “Connie” Carr on August 12, 2020 in
Fredericton, New Brunswick. Born on May 24, 1928, she was the daughter
of the late Clarence E. And Laura E. Carr.
In her early years, Connie lived in Geary, Hampstead,
Tracadie, New Brunswick , and Danville and Mont Joli, Quebec. She
later moved to St. John’s Newfoundland but ultimately
returned and remained in Geary, New Brunswick for her remaining
years.
A devoted Christian, Connie was a long standing member of the
Geary Baptist Church. She sang in the choir, participated in bible
studies, and taught Sunday school. She was an avid quilter and loved
animals.
Connie is survived by her sister Elsie Evans (Lynwood),
sister-in-law Betty Carr as well as several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by her
brother Vincent Carr and sister Marilyn Carr.
A visitation will be held at the Geary Baptist Church on
Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. A funeral
service will take place at 3:00 pm by invitation only. Please contact
the family if you wish to attend the service. A private interment will
follow at the Asa Carr Cemetery. For those who wish, in lieu of
flowers donations to the Asa Carr Cemetery Fund, Canadian Cancer
Society or a charity of their choosing would be appreciated by the
family.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the
doctors, nurses and staff at Frederick Hall (Shannex) for all their
care, kindness and compassion.
