We sadly announce that Al Coleman, age 69, of Kamloops. BC, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Royal Inland Hospital with his wife Diana by his side. Al was born on Dec. 01, 1950 in Berwick, Nova Scotia. He was the son of the late C. Robert Coleman (2001) and Eleanor Pearl Coleman (Sweeney) (2008). He was the 2nd child of 4 siblings, David (2016), Dwight (2017) and his surviving sister Marlene Coleman. He is survived by his wife Diana who he married on Oct 6, 2020. Al and Charlotte have one son, Leroy (Lee) Coleman (Sheryl) (born in Berwick, NS) and 6 grandchildren in Grande Prairie, AB.
Al grew up in Berwick, NS, working in the dairy and trucking industry. He traveled across Canada and worked in Alberta in the oil field and 3 yrs on a ranch. He moved to and settled in Kamloops, with his then wife Becky Coleman, and they traveled, camped and fished.
His truck driving work included Long Haul trucking and later Al worked for Donny Blair, Brentwood Trucking and his last 8 years were with Oldies Trucking with Jake and Anitia.
Al’s greatest passion was for racing of any type from stock cars, to Nascar which he happily watched his favourite driver Chase Elliott win 2020 Nascar. He followed and admired local driver Jason White in Canada’s Pinty Racing. He also enjoyed mud bogging and off road races with his close Nephew Troy Armstrong (Lisa). He often talked about his go cart racing with Troy. Al had special people in his life, Niece Melissa Coleman, and Lance and Tammy, as well as Lloyd, Bill and Wayne. Of course, Al was a dedicated Tim Horton’s coffee fan and he met up with his friends daily. Al loved dancing and he and Diana attended dances at the Social Club, Seniors and Old Time Fiddlers and went to Merritt Speedway, Bullarama, Rodeos and dance lessons , they also took dance classes for waltzes and two step.

Al will live on in memory through the gift of Organ Donation.
Al also returned home to Nova Scotia in July and August to be with his younger sister, Marlene and niece, Jenna. Upon return to Kamloops, Al and Diana were happily married on Oct 6th…..
When it is permitted, there will be a service for Al in Kamloops through Drake’s Funeral Service. Al will return to Nova Scotia to be in interned with parents and brothers at Burlington Cemetery in 2021.
