December 2, 1926 – April 4, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clifton Gordon Loder announce his passing after a short illness on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 93 years. He leaves to mourn daughter Ruth (Horace) Davis; son Frank (Cedella) Loder; grandchildren: Shelley (Todd) Parsons, Tracey (Brad) Payne and Jeffrey (Bekka) Loder; great- grandchildren: Emily and Evan Payne, Bradey, Sydney and Joey Loder, sisters-in-law Ruth Brown and Elizabeth Hussey, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife of 73 years, Irene Marion nee (Hussey) Loder on January 3, 2020, parents George and Delilah Loder, parents-in-law Frederick and Violet Hussey, brothers Francis Loder (WW11), George (Evelyn) Loder, Wesley (Marie) Loder, sisters Elsie (Gerald) Anderson, Annie (William) Companion, daughter-in-law Dinah Loder, brothers-in-law Maxwell Brown, Valence (Jean) Hussey, Lloyd (Flora) Hussey, William ( Ivy) Hussey, Carl (Ruby) Hussey, Allan Hussey, sisters-in-law, Melba (Peter) Stapleton, Eulah (Ralph) Morecombe. Cremation has taken place, a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Peter Callahan for his care over the years, the staff at Bayshore Estates, the Palliative Care unit at WMRH and Fillatre’s Funeral Home. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund in Summerside.
