Obituary
Clifford passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2020, on his own terms, surrounded by family and friends. His bravery to end his suffering was how he embraced life – with strength, determination and commitment. Clifford was predeceased by his parents Carman and Agnes Ferguson; his wife Audrey May (nee Johnson) Dool; sister Rene Carruthers and stepdaughter Sandra (Dool) Fandrich.
He is survived by his son Casey (Bonnie); stepsons Fred Dool (Audrey) and Mike Dool (Brenda); sister Isabelle Ferguson (Jane); nephew Dean Carruthers as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Clifford dedicated his life to hard work, harder play, family and friends. He always enjoyed a laugh, fishing, playing crib, quadding in the bush, most any pursuit of fun, delighting his companions by recounting situations he got himself into, always ending with his distinctive laugh. Loyalty to friends from childhood maintained a social network throughout his life; devotion to family was a cornerstone of love and support for all. He reckoned he put on over 10 million miles in his working life. Now that he has shifted the last gear, he can cool that engine and rest. He will be forever missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Edson Hospital for their compassionate care for Clifford and for a good ending to a full life.
A Memorial is planned for the Spring of 2020.
