Clayton’s Obituary
Clayton Andrew Pilgrim passed peacefully away on the Palliative Care Unit in Corner Brook, surrounded by family, on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at the age of 88 years.
He leaves to mourn his wife Joan (née Easton), his children Sharon (Bryan) Hayward, Valerie (Wilson) Boyde, Juanita (Harris) Whalen, Denise (Robert) Spurrell, Sherri (Ted) Gracie, Esther (Lue) Ward, Jessica Pilgrim (Fiancée of Ryan McFarlene) and his stepchildren Ross Easton, Tony (Joan) Easton and Penny Easton.
Grandchildren include Darryl (Valerie), April (Sean), David (Rachel), Danielle (Tyler), Andrew (Julianne), Matthew (Holly), Kristopher, Janelle (Brandon), Alexis, Kelsey, Madison, Kaleb and Daniel.
His great-grandchildren are Joshua, Jacob, Mia, Emma, Matthew, Nathan, Jasmyn, Miles, Riley, Maddox, Evan, Malcolm, Mia and Layna.
His siblings are Edgar (Rowena), Lewis (Dorothy), Lovetta (Llewelyn), Mervin (Beverley), Mereda, Henry (Pauline), and Alvin (Nancy) as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.
Clayton was predeceased by his wife Dinah, his parents, Kenneth and Lynetta, his sisters Adelaide and Lucy, as well as his stepchildren, Walter, Fronie, Joyce and Pamela.
The family wish to thank the Nursing staff of the Palliative care Unit in Corner Brook as well as Dr. Kate Lafferty and Social worker Janice Peddle. A big thank you also to George Coles, Lynn Compton and the staff at the Deer Lake Manor.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday, September 25th. at 11:00 am at the Salvation Army Citadel in Deer Lake with Major Laverne Fudge officiating. Due to COVID 19 restrictions this celebration will be for family and invited guests only. Interment will follow at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery in Stephenville.
As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations in Clayton’s memory may be made to The Salvation Army Building Fund, 147 Hansen Memorial Highway, Stephenville NL, A2N 1W3
