1946-2020
Claude Samuel Porter of Two Brooks, NB, passed away peacefully at the
Edmundston Regional Hospital on March 30, 2020.
Claude was born in Two Brooks, NB, on May 27, 1946 to Edith Cavelle
Porter. Claude graduated from The Maritime Forest Ranger School in
1968. He worked for the Fraser Company for 38 years as a Woodlands
Supervisor and took tremendous pride in the work that he loved. Claude
was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed nature
and took great pride in maintaining his beautiful lawn, fish pond and
property. He had a life long passion for baseball as a player, coach
and fan. Claude was a man of principle and logic whose reputation
preceded him. He had a big heart and demonstrated this every chance he
got.
Claude is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Barbara
McAdam-Porter; their daughter, Cavelle (Bradley Cole-Labonte) and
their son, Tyrell. His grandchildren, Grace, Chloe and Liam. His
siblings, Reggie, Dale Giberson (Pam), Diane Heisler (Garnet), Cheryl
Eagles (Tom). Many nieces and nephews and their families. His aunt,
Pauline Porter, In-laws, Marie Pickard, Carol McAdam (Gord), Roy
Woodcock (Sheryl). Predeceased by his loving grandmother Amy and many
cherished family members.
A graveside service celebrating Claude’s life will be held on
Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 3 pm from the Burntland Brook Cemetery. Mr.
Kenneth Campbell officiating.
Donations can be made at Pro Kids, Chris Miller Fund, Burntland Brook
Cemetery, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer
Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
