CREWS, Claude
October 25, 1966 – October 5, 2020
Passed peacefully away in the loving arms of his wife, Claude Crews age 53 years of Mount Pearl. Predeceased by his infant son Alex; parents-in-law: Winston and Louise May; brother-in-law Tony Foote.
Left to mourn with loving memories are his wife Mary Lou (nee May); son Morgan (Mckaylia); his beloved dog Jake; pops furry boy Gunner; parents: Carl and Jane Crews of Fortune; sister Maxine (Charles) of Ontario; sisters-in-law: Madge (Jude) of Montreal, Christine of Gander, Roxanne (Glenn) of Point May; nephews and nieces: Krysta, Evan, Sadiki and Jeff; as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; special friends: Barry and Linda, Arjen and Lynda, Lloyd and Betty and special boy Kaisen who called Claude his “foster dad”. A special thank you for the never ending love and support from extra special cousin Claudette and husband Steve. Thank you to the care provided by Dr. O’Dea, Sharon Nurse RN and home care worker Ian. Thanks to all the neighbors for their continued support, especially Rose for Jake’s daily walks. Anyone who knew Claude would know of his love for his garage including his Milwaukee tools and his best friend Jake. He loved to have a chat with anyone who had the time.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service to be held at The Salvation Army CBS Corps, Long Pond on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. by invitation only due to the COVID-19 government restrictions, see Barrett’s website for information. However, the funeral service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/cbscorps on Friday at 2p.m. Newfoundland Time. In lieu of flowers donations to Claude’s memory can be made to The Salvation Army CBS Corps Family Services or the charity of one’s choice.
