Clarence Watson November 14 2020

Obituary
Clarence Russell Watson
May 19, 1933 – November 14, 2020
In loving memory of Clarence Watson who passed away at the Cassellholme, home for the aged , in North Bay, Ontario on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the age of 87.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ken and mother Marie Berthe (nee Ricard).
Clarence will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Carmaine (nee Larouche) and forever remembered by his children, Cindy (Jackie Balleny and Schooner), Chris (Claudette), Connie (Lonnie Schubert and Freddy), and Cassandra (Dan Curtis).
Clarence was the proud grandfather to Lee (Shauna), Carly (Ryan), Courtney (Travis), Céleste (and Roo), Curtis (Brianne), Kyra (Rob), Megan, Tyler, Chris and Nick and his Great Grandfather to Delilah, Vivian, Georgia, Patricia, Harrison, William and Jack.
Clarence is survived by his siblings Norm, Glen (Beth), Jacquie (Ron Rashleigh) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Clarence never wasted a minute of the day. He dedicated his work life to the mining industry which allowed him to travel the world with mom. He loved downhill skiing, golfing, gardening and was exceptionally skilled at woodworking. Clarence enjoyed the outdoors and always looked forward to those weekends of hunting and fishing with family and friends. He was always up for the camping trip into the hunt camp.
In his retirement, he was active in the upgrades at the Haileybury Golf Club. The golf club was where he could take a break from all the worries, but mostly to just be with the people who meant so much to both Mom and Dad.
We can all be assured that while struggling with Alzheimer’s , the final months and days of Clarence’s fulfilling life, his mind brought him back to the good times and memories of his family, friends, his mining days, and without a doubt, the good times shared at the hunt camp.
Clarence’s heart was the strongest part of him and yet the softest part. He was passionate in his actions, but it was balanced with silent softness. Alzheimer’s may have taken a large part of him, but it never took his kindness!
Thank you to Cassellholme and to the people who played a special role in making our fathers time with you safe and comfortable.
We will miss you Dad!
Due to the current COVID restrictions and guidelines, a celebration of Clarence’s life will be held at a later date. We look forward to seeing all of our family and friends. As an expression of sympathy, contributions in Clarence’s memory can be made to Cassellholme,

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Clarence Watson November 14 2020..
