Clara Genevieve Broad of Wicklow, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel
Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on October 30, 2020.
Clara was born in Wicklow, NB, on May 11, 1932. She was the daughter
of the late Donald and Mary (Squires) Wheeler. Clara leaves behind her
daughters, Nancy Seely (Kevin) of Salisbury, NB, Donna Grant (Stephen)
of Saint John, NB; her son, Jerry Broad (Laurie) of Johnville, NB; her
six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; her sisters, Martha
Southan (Bert) of Wicklow, NB, Jackie Hitchcock of Amherst, NS; her
brother, Michael Wheeler (Linda) of Woodstock, NB; her sisters-in-law,
May Wheeler of Eastern Passage, NS, Maxine Townsley of Perth-Andover,
NB; along with many nieces and nephews.
Clara was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Austin Broad, her
infant son, Robert; her brothers, Donald and Robert Wheeler; her
sisters, Carrie Ripley, Glenna Patterson, Mary Wheeler, Kay Jamer,
Judy Wheeler, Anna Ashworth, and Pauline DeMerchant.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday from 6-8
pm. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 2 pm
from the funeral home. Rev. Harold Sparks officiating. Interment will
follow in the Wicklow Cemetery.
Due to the New Brunswick Department of Health guidelines concerning
Covid-19, a mask is mandatory for the visitation and funeral.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Wicklow Cemetery or the
Wicklow Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
