Christopher Wainwright (Carter) Kempffer peacefully at the Garden Street site of Brockville General Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer. Chris was a devoted husband to Marj (nee Boyce), a proud and adoring father to daughter, Alison( Ashdown) of BC and a loving and proud grandpa to Christopher (Ashdown), also of BC. He is also survived by his sister, his brothers and their families. Chris will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, intelligence and his strong sense of community.
Our thanks to the entire Palliative Care Teams, including WMDH, LHIN, LGFHT and BGH. Your caring and compassion will always be remembered.
Funeral Arrangements
At Chris’ request, there will be no service. A private interment will take place at a later date. Chris had also requested that should a donation in his memory be made, that it go to “First Responders United”, in care of St. John’s United Church in Cardinal. Arrangements entrusted to the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Cardinal. Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.
