Obituary
Christopher Lee Rooke
November 30, 1978 – Swift Current, Saskatchewan
October 24, 2020 – Okotoks, Alberta
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Lee Rooke on Saturday October 24, 2020 at the Foothills Country Hospice near Okotoks at the age of 41 years.
Chris was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan and lived on an acreage north of Swift Current until the age of 15. The time on the acreage allowed for many vehicle related adventures as well as an appreciation of the outdoors. The family moved to Ottawa for 4 years and while in Ottawa Chris graduated from Sir Robert Borden High School. Another move brought Chris to Edmonton, Alberta in 1988 where he attended Grant McEwan University and graduated from Business in 2000. Chris made his life in Edmonton, first working for Purolator, then with NCR and finally at Stanley Security. Chris initially worked as a technician and then as a Project Manager.
Chris loved to be outdoors whether it was camping, biking, driving his Jeep in the mountain trails or sitting by the fire playing fetch with his dog, Nitro.
He is survived by his parents, Tom and Hilda Rooke, his sister Leslie Radway (Glen) and his twin brother Steven (Melissa), nieces Payton and Molly and nephew Cole; as well as his extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers we would ask that you make a commensurate donation to the charity of your choice.
