Christine Ellsworth (nee MacKenzie
1923-2020
Heaven
gained a special angel. At home on Sunday, October
04, surrounded by the love of her daughter and granddaughter,
Christine Ellsworth ( née MacKenzie), transitioned gently
and peacefully to join her beloved husband, Albert Ellsworth
(2011).
Cherished
mother of Dave (Martha), Montague; Eric ( Audrey
Auld), Charlottetown; and Corinne, Lower Montague and
Spaniard’s Bay, Newfoundland. Treasured
grandmother of Anne (Garth) Dixon, Lower Montague; Dennis (Heather),
Stratford; Gavin (Marni), Calgary, Alberta; Airlie (Simon) Ogden,
Charlottetown and great grandmother of Everly and Arlo, Calgary and
Esme, Stratford.
Christine is
also survived by a brother-in-law Lloyd Cann of Northam and
Summerside, sisters-in-law Reta Connick, Amherst, Nova Scotia and
Shirley Ellsworth, Skinner’s Pond and Charlottetown, many
treasured nieces and nephews and special cousin Corena Gairns, Lower
Montague.
Predeceased
by a dear son Wayne (1970) and a granddaughter Rebecca Dixon
(2018). Last surviving member of the John and
Gertie (Kneebone) MacKenzie family. Predeceased by
siblings Isobel (Harold) King, Ann (Bill) Gilson,
Alfred Mackenzie, Roddy (Barbara) MacKenzie, Sandy (Jean) MacKenzie,
Mary Cann and Fred MacKenzie.
Resting at
Ferguson-Logan Montague Funeral Home where, due to Covid-19, a private
(by invitation only) service will take place on Thursday October 08,
2020 at 2 pm. Interment in the Lower Montague
Cemetery. As a lifetime member of the
Women’s Institute and founding member of the Lower Montague
Hall, donations to the Lower Montague Women’s Institute Hall
Renovation Project would be greatly appreciated. To
honour Christine, do an act of kindness to a
neighbour. As she would say, “All will be
well.”
