In Celebration of
Christine Ann Maloney (nee Douglass)
October 13, 1947 –
June 27, 2020
Chris was born on October 13, 1947, and, due to the ravages of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), she passed away at home, early on June 27, 2020.
Chris leaves behind her beloved husband, Paul; her loving sons, Art (Silvia) and Pat (Sabrina); her loving step-children, Sarah (Ray), Brian, Anna, Mark (Isabelle) and Kevin (Alison); and her adored grandchildren: Mollie, Kathryn, Connor, Maggie, Artie, Fiona, Malena, Keir, Payton, Arden, Delaney, and Perrine.
Predeceased by her parents, Don and Ting Douglass, Chris is survived by her brothers Kirk and Gary (Kathy) and by her sisters, Patti and Laura (Brad).
Chris loved children and spent her career at North Peel (now Judith Nyman) Secondary School, in the Peel District School Board, teaching child care and child development.
Chris was a wonderful dancer and a fan of Soul Music and Jazz.
She loved to travel and went on many European tours with Paul, visiting almost every country on that continent.
A beautiful soul has left us.
We are so very grateful to every one of the, literally, dozens of Personal Support Workers who, for the past three years, helped so respectfully, kindly and gently with Chris’s care.
In her memory, donations can be made to either: CurePSP at 1216 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001 or online at psp.org/iwanttohelp/ways-to-give/.
