On Saturday, July 25, 2020 in the arms of her family at home in Appin, after a brief yet valiant and courageous battle with cancer, Cheryl Ann Kathleen (Dawson) Welch, passed away two weeks short of her 71st birthday. Most beloved wife of Doug Welch for almost 49 years. Loving and loved mother to David Welch (Shirley Lock), Sandy Giles and Cheri (Kurt) Lovell. Cherished and world’s best nana to Carter and Emma Welch, Austin and Garrett Giles and Ryleigh and Cohen Lovell. Also survived by brothers Bob (Carol) Dawson, Ray (Cindy) Dawson as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her father, Gord Dawson and stepmother Helen Dawson. Cheryl will always be remembered for her knitting, sewing and fabulous baking. In keeping with Cheryl’s wishes cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held. (Attendance restricted). There are no words but our deepest gratitude to Dr. John Lenehan and the staff at LRCP, Dr. Heba Youseff, St. Elizabeth Health Care, the staff with LHIN, the incredible paramedics at Elgin St. Thomas EMS as well as the staff at FCHS Emergency Department.
