Obituary
CARD, Cheryl Annette (nee Pfliger)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl, on April 27, 2020 in Saskatchewan, at the age of 56 years. She will be forever missed by her husband of 39 years, Brent, 3 children Stephanie, Danielle and Jasmine, 5 grandchildren and her father Alphonse. She was predeceased by her mother Ruby. Special mention to her constant companion for the last 11 years, her cat Sassy. Cheryl’s life led her on many adventures. She worked in the bingo industry for many years, then the retail industry at BestBuy (Hoover, Alabama, White Marsh, Maryland and BelAir, Maryland). Upon return to Canada, she worked at Walmart, Preston Crossing, in the cash office until MS disabled her from working. She enjoyed many summers at the trailer at Diefenbaker Lake near Elbow, SK. Cheryl was a long-time member of the Hub City Optimist Club of Saskatoon, where she helped out in many ways being the club secretary, treasurer and director. Her proudest accomplishment was being the chairperson of the Annual Ladies Gala for the past 8 years. Due to Covid-19’s restrictions, there will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later time. Donations in memory of Cheryl may be directed to the MS Society, Canadian Cancer Society, or to Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundation. Cheryl’s family would like to thank the nursing and care staff of Royal University Hospital, 6100, the Saskatoon Cancer Clinic and Sherbrooke Community Centre for their compassion and caring during her time under their care.
