Charlotte Kay Brosha
1946-2020
Brosha, Charlotte Kay (Hann) (Spencer), age 74, of Heatherton
passed away on December 4, 2020, in St. Martha’s Regional
Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late
Arthur and Myrtle (Garside) Hann.
Charlotte ran one of the food trolleys in Nicholson Hall in
StFX for 1977 to 2001. She epitomized “cold hands, warm
heart”, as she made 50 pairs of fleece-lined wool mittens for
chemotherapy patients at St. Martha’s oncology
department.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Brosha; sons, Sean
(EJ) Spencer, Newmarket, ON; Raymond Spencer, Tokyo, Japan; and Robby
(Nicole) Spencer, St. Albert, AB; grandchildren, Jordan, Brennan,
Jacob, Tomo, Jasmine, and Jocelynn; stepchildren, Rayleen Brosha (Doug
Twyford), Edmonton, AB, and child, Shalom; and Corey (Maureen) Brosha,
Windsor, ON, and child, Lola; and sister, Madelyn Arnott, London,
ON.
Predeceased by son, Michael Spencer, and brother, Raymond
Stewart.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in
C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish.
Social distancing protocols must be followed, and masks are
mandatory. A private family funeral will be held on Monday
at 10:00am and it will be streamed live on the funeral
home’s website.
Family flowers only, please. In lieu of flowers,
you are encouraged to plant a tree or make a donation to St.
Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation.
The family would like to thank the great oncology nurses at
St. Martha’s and especially Dr. Ron MacCormick (oncology)
and Dr. John Chiasson.
