Charlotte E. Newman-Gourlay of Upper Kingsclear, NB passed away
February 22, 2020 at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB. Charlotte was
born in 1941 on Campobello Island, NB, the daughter of the late Alva
M. Mitchell and Eileen M. (Calder) Mitchell.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald G. Gourlay; her sons, Lawrence
(Larry) Newman (Gayle) and Bruce Newman; her step-children, Jason
Gourlay and Lisa Gourlay; her grandchildren, Justin Newman (Kerstin),
Lindsay Newman (Steve), Michiah Newman and Nic Gourlay (Becky) and her
great grandchildren Nathaniel and Alex.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by her first
husband, Curtis Newman.
Visitation will be held at the Salvation Army Fredericton Community
Church, 531 St. Mary’s Street, Fredericton, NB on Saturday,
February 29, 2020 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. when the funeral service
will be held with Major Danial Dearing officiating. Interment will be
later at Head Harbour Cemetery on Campobello Island.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Charlotte the
family has suggested the Salvation Army or Head Harbour Cemetery.
