Charlie Rankin
October 31, 1923 – June 10, 2020
In loving memory of Charlie Rankin, who passed away peacefully on June 10, 2020 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre Satellite Site.
Charlie was born on October 31, 1923 in Birtle, Manitoba and moved to Dryden at a very young age. He married Audrey Dick and had four children.
Charlie was a proud Veteran and served in the Navy during WWII. He worked his whole career at the Dryden Mill.
Charlie was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, fishing and snowmachining with his family and friends. He was a great story-teller, loved his time with his family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charlie was predeceased by his wife Audrey and his daughter Gail. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his sons Gordon (Aldene), Rick, and Bob (Donna). He will hold a special place in the hearts of his cherished grandchildren Shannon, Jennifer, Robyn, Michael, Kevin and Brian (Ashley) and six great-grandchildren Isabella, Parker, Reese, Evan, Lola and Presley.
Our family would like to thank the Community Care coordinators, Paramed service providers and all the staff and doctors at the DRHC and satellite unit for their care and compassion.
There will be a private graveside service.
