MacPHERSON, Charles A.
– Age 92, Boylston, Guysborough Co., passed away peacefully
on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, in Canso Seaside Manor. Born in North
Riverside, he was the son of the late William and Hilda (Brymer)
MacPherson.
Charles worked as a Forestry Pulp Contractor, cutting his
last load at the age of 79. Charles was a member of Boylston United
Church.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Jennie (Hendsbee)
MacPherson; sons, Elton (Sheila), Wade (Marion), Whylie (Charlene) and
Doug; daughters, Colleen and Frances; many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons, Myles, William
“Billy” and Dartt. Those who knew Charles will say
he was hard working, caring, funny and loving to family and friends
alike.
We would like to thank the Canso Seaside Manor staff for
their dedicated care and compassion.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on
Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service
will be 2 p.m. Monday from Boylston United Church with Rev. Heather
Manuel officiating. Burial at a later date. Words of comfort may be
