Cécile Cormier
1928 ~ 2020
Notre-Dame-de-Kent, NB – Cécile Cormier, 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont university hospital centre, after a short illness, on Monday, January 27th, 2020.
Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand “Fred” and the late Anna LeBlanc (born Babineau).
Cécile loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time as she possibly could with them. When it came to Cécile, everyone was always welcome.
Cécile loved taking drives anytime, anywhere, especially her nightly drives with her son, Louis. She loved getting her nails painted (red was always her favorite color).
Cécile will forever be loved and missed by her four daughters, Stella LeBlanc (Léo-Paul), Denise Allain (Raymond), both of Notre-Dame-de-Kent, Yvette Cormier (Kevin Ryan) of St-André and Danielle Cormier of Cap-Pelé; two sons, Louis Cormier and Guy Cormier (Kathy), both of Notre-Dame-de-Kent; two brothers, Albert LeBlanc (Aurore) and Louis LeBlanc (Jeanne), both of Fitchburg, Mass.; two sisters, Julie Vienneau (late Lionel) of Cap-Pelé and Hélène Cormier (late George) of Sudbury, ON; seven grandchildren, Michel, Ricky, Shelley, Monique, Gisèle, Sharon and Rebecca; nine great-grandchildren, Jamie, Melissa, Renelle, Quinn, Joshua, Ryan, Alexandre, Dawson and Olivia; one great-great-grandchild, Damon; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Camille; her son, Gilles; two brothers, Joseph and Arthur; and by two sisters, Edmée and Maria.
Visitation will be held at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur slumber room at Notre-Dame-de-Kent, on Thursday, January 30th, 2020, from 2pm until time of the funeral service at the church at 4pm.
Donation can be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
