Passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on December 24, 2020 at Columbia Forest Long Term Care. Beloved wife of 56 years to Clive F. (2004). Loving mother of Virginia (Ginny) (Wayne Kreitz) and Clive V. (Janice). Grandma of Rhonda and Jayson. Great grandma to Veronica and Ethan. Great great grandma to Aaliyah. Loving sister of Pauline Schwartzentruber (Art d.), Connie Kreig (Jim d.) and Roy (Jan) Martin. Predeceased by her parents Margaret and Nelson Martin and her sister Mildred Carter.
Catherine and Clive F. operated Woolner’s Catering for many years. They spent their retirement travelling and spending time at their cottage.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King. St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, December 30 at 1:00 pm. For those not able to attend, the service will be live-streamed and a link will be available on Catherine’s obituary page at www.erbgood.com. Interment at Bridgeport Cemetery, Kitchener.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington or KidsAbility would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Columbia Forest on Schneider House and the staff of Promyse Home Care for the exceptional care provided to Catherine over the years.
She has fought a good fight. She has finished the race. Free at last.
