It is with great sadness that the family of Catherine “Kit” Thompson (nee O’Hanley) announce her peaceful passing at the Colville Manor on Friday, April 10, 2020, surrounded in spirit by the love of her family. She was aged 93 years and formerly of St. Peters Bay, PE.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years Harold Valentine. She was a proud mother to her children Danny (Linda), Cathy MacKinnon (Billy), Gene (Wanda), Lynn MacInnis and Robbie (Barbie). Much loved Grandma to Jimmy Thompson, Jacki Bass, Coralee Jackson, Joelyne Taylor, Erin McKenna, Jennifer Handrahan, Amanda, MacFarlane, Emily Thompson, Cody MacInnis, Hayley McKenna, Kate Byrne, Jesse Doucette and her 26 great-grandchildren.
Kit is also survived by her sister, Bernie (late Jackie Lewis), brother Desi O’Hanley and sisters in law Pauline O’Hanley, Mary Jay and Marie Thompson. Predeceased by her parents Boniface and Mary Jane O’Hanley (nee Wilson) and siblings Eugene, Henry, Mary MacDonald (Jack), Peggy Rossiter (Jack), B.J., Emmett, Lena; infant siblings Daniel and Mary and her son in law Ronnie MacDonald.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home. There will be no visitation or funeral mass at this time. Interment will take place at the St. Peter’s Bay Roman Catholic Cemetery. If so desired a donation made to the Activity Dept. of the Colville Manor would be greatly appreciated by the family.
