Carson David Tattrie
1940-2020
Carson David
Tattrie – 80, Bible
Hill. It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Carson
David Tattrie on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. Born in
Amherst, he was the son of the late Laurie and Myrtle (Shea) Tattrie.
In his early
years, Carson owned and operated a car dealership and garage in
Barrington and in Truro that he took great pride in. Carson always had
a passion for collectables, and most would have seen and known him for
his various yard sales across Colchester County. He was simply born to
be a salesman; he was a natural. In his later years, Carson enjoyed
biking, early morning conversations at Tim Horton’s and
maybe the odd beer or two. He lived a long life but his most proud
accomplishment was his family that he held so dear to his heart.
Carson is
survived by his children, Kim Newcombe, Bible Hill; Stacey DeBay
(Rick), Bible Hill; Dave Tattrie (Kim), Malagash; treasured
grandchildren, Daniel, Emma, Jessica and Bryson. Along with his
parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Darlene (MacIntosh) Tattrie;
brother, Errol Tattrie (Dianne); infant sister, Eileen; son-in-law,
Shawn Newcombe.
Honouring
Carson’s wishes, there will be a private interment in
Earltown Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Carson’s
memory to Truro Homeless Outreach Society are welcomed.
Arrangements
have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55
Young Street, Truro. Private messages of condolence may be sent to the
family by viewing Carson’s obituary on-line and selecting
