Obituary of Caroline Currie
With heavy hearts the family announce that Caroline passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital in the early hours of Thursday, April 30, 2020. Caroline Mary Currie of Arnprior was 75. Beloved daughter of the late Archie Currie and the late Catherine (nee Scott) Gilmette. Dearly loved mother of Roxanne Taillefer (Paul Saunders), Robert Taillefer (Wanda), Doreen Mutter (Paul) and Carrie Lynn Smith-Hewitt (Darryl Hewitt). Cherished and proud grandmother of Justin Saunders, Christen Taillefer (Paul Laforest), Dexter Wilson (Brenna), Joey Taillefer, Matthew and Shane Mutter, Kennedee Smith (Tyler Pike) and great-grandmother of Carter and Paige Laforest, Rory and Clark Wilson, Keegan and Theo Smith. Dear sister of John Currie (Bonnie), Rita Clouthier, Michael Currie (Diane), Mary Blimkie (M.J.), Annette Dupuis (John McNulty), Earl Gilmette (Roxy) and John Gilmette (Carol). Predeceased by siblings: Buddy Gilmette (late Fran), Eileen Currie and Doreen Duncan (Doug). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Caroline’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A visitation and service will take place when permissible and will be announced at that time. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. In memory of Caroline, please consider a donation to the Arnprior and District Humane Society.
