NUDDS, Carole Georgina – At University Hospital, London on Sunday December 27th, 2020. Carole of Woodstock, was in her 89th year. Beloved Wife of Charles Gordon Nudds for 62 years, who pre-deceased her in 2012. Dear Mother of Gord Nudds and his wife Raquel; Lou-Anne Osmond and her husband Murray and Mike Nudds and his wife Jean. Loved Grandmother of Scott; Stephen Osmond, Jessica; Michael Nudds, Garrett; Deirdre Nudds and Great Grandson Zachary (Son of Jessica). Proud Daughter of predeceased John William and Lola Smith. Dear Sister of William John Smith. Predeceased by her Sisters, Jaqueline Lola, Pauline Isobel, Beverly Paulette and Faye Anne. Loved Daughter in law of John Henry and Mary Marguerite Nudds. She will be missed by friends and many members of the Smith and Nudds family trees. Aside from being an amazing Wife and Mother, Carole was also a talented writer and Genealogist. She also put her skills to being a successful Business Woman, working with Fisher Controls Company in Woodstock for many years before moving to Richmond Hill/Thornhill in the late seventies. She had accepted a management position at Kambria Controls and Dad worked in another sales organization. She and Dad moved back to Woodstock to retire and be closer to family. She decided in her own words. “I wasn’t ready to stay home and bake cookies.” She then founded and became the Executive Director of the Canadian Mental Health Association for Oxford County until she really retired. She continued her writing and Genealogy. After Dad passed in 2012 and living alone, Lewy Body Dementia took control of her life and talent and she resided in Long Term Care for the last few years. She fought hard to best the affliction until the end. We already miss you so much Mom! A private interment service will be held at a later date by the family in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
