Carol Maria (Jessome) MacLean
Sydney Mines
Born in: Sydney Mines, NS, October 30th, 1962
Passed in: Sydney, NS, January 11th, 2020
It is with heart felt sorrow that we regret to announce the peaceful passing of our Dearest Mother, Grandmother, Wife, Sister, Aunt & Closest Friend at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 with her loving family by her side.
To say Carol’s love for Candace was the most important part of her life would be a huge understatement. Her enormous love for Candace and Greg was unbreakable and it was only strengthened with the birth of her Granddaughter Delaney Lee Alderson two years ago. Carol loved her family unconditionally and this true love knew no boundaries.
Family was first and foremost and she could not do enough for us and she only wanted the best for everyone.
Carol was born in Sydney Mines on October 30th, 1962 to the late Robert and Beverley (Roberts) Jessome. She is survived by her only daughter Candace and son-in-law Greg as well as her pride and joy Delaney. Carol is survived by her loving partner of twelve years Gary MacKinnon and also by sisters Darlene (Gordie Howatson) Vancouver BC, Shirley (Frankie) Long Sydney Mines, Brother Robert (Emily) Jessome Guelph ON as well as Mother in law Millie MacLean of Alder Point and her extended MacLean family whom were very important and close to Carol, as well several Nieces and Nephews.
Carol was predeceased by the Love of her life Dale MacLean and granddaughter baby Dale as well as her sister Valda, Maternal and Paternal Grandparents.
Carol was employed at the Miners Memorial Manor in Sydney Mines since 1991 and was the Manor’s Administrator since 2013. Carols second great passion in life was her work and she provided an unwavering dedication to her profession. Carol’s love and care of the Manor’s residents came first and she was committed to ensuring that these special people were treated with the best care and support possible. The Manor’s staff was very important to Carol and she always spoke highly of their efforts and contributions to the effective running of the Manor and from this, lasting friendships grew.
Visitation for Carol MacLean will be held on Tuesday January 14th, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at J. M. Jobes Funeral Homes 635 main Street Sydney Mines, NS.
