Carmen Venice Simpson Troupe
September 30, 1961 – July 06, 2020

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Carmen passed away peacefully on July 6, 2020 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, in her 58th year, with her daughter Erin at her side.
Carmen is predeceased by her mother Helen and leaves behind Tim, her heartbroken husband and partner of 43 years and their daughters Emma (Andrew) and Erin (Jared), her father David, brothers Christian (Krista), Darren (Leigh), beloved nephews Hugo, Henry, Liam and all the Troupe family in-laws.
Carmen was born in Toronto, ON and attended E. A. Orr and then Thomas A. Blakelock High in Oakville. She worked for CIBC/Wood Gundy for 40 years, developing scores of long-term friendships.
Carmen was first diagnosed with cancer in 2006. Through it all she remained a loving, caring, and selfless person who welcomed friends into her home and on to the back porch to sit, talk and relax by the pool. She dearly loved her dog ‘Bear’ and Emma’s dog ‘Tila’. Carmen especially enjoyed being with her gang of ‘Traveling-Sock’ girlfriends.
Many thanks to the exceptional staff and the care received by Carmen at the Carlo Fidani – Credit Valley Cancer Centre over the all-too-many years.
Because of the COVID situation, a celebration of life will be planned and announced once restrictions are safely lifted.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Carmen Venice Simpson Troupe September 30 1961 July 06 2020..
