Carmelle Thibodeau 1949-2020

It is with sadness and love that we, the family, share the passing of Carmelle Thibodeau (Pelletier) at the Foyer Note Dame de Lourdes on July 12, 2020 at the age of 70.
Born in Bathurst, NB she was the daughter of the late Madore and Victorine (Arseneau) Pelletier.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her younger brother Jacques, two sisters, Jeanette Pentland (Everett) and Anne-Marie Boucher (Howard), son-in-law Harold White and her husband Arthur Thibodeau.
Carmelle is survived by one brother Gerald of Beresford, her children Donna (Roch) of Petit-Rocher, Tracy (Rob) and Jason (Cathy) both of Fredericton and four grandchildren Natasha, Nathan, Emma and Ryan.
After working as a baker for many years, Carmelle found her true calling in Community Services, with the Upper Dawson Community Centre and then with the Canadian Mental Health Association, both roles as Events Coordinator. In these roles her charismatic personality, kindness and her ability to demonstrate empathy when friends and colleagues needed it most were exemplified and allowed her to forge life-long friendships along the way.
Always up for adventure, she loved travelling, cards, spending time with family and friends and doting on her grandchildren. She was steadfast in her presence in all of their lives and for this they are eternally grateful. Quick-witted, Carmelle was the spark of countless moments of joy, kindness and inspiration.
We remember not just that she died but that she lived, and that her life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
A grave-side service will be held for family and close friends. In memory of Carmelle, the family would appreciate a donation to a charity of your choice in her name.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Carmelle Thibodeau 1949-2020..
