Obituary of Bud Chestnut
George Roland “Bud” Chestnut of Sus, NB, passed away on June 6, 2020 at the Sus Health Centre. Most recently he was residing at Belleisle Manor.
Bud was born in Dobson’s Corner, NB to George and Elizabeth Chestnut on October 20, 1948. He attended Petitcodiac Regional High School. He worked in various positions in both Southern Ontario and New Brunswick until he retired. Fishing, hunting, and driving his car were his most enjoyable pastimes.
Bud is survived by his son, Arnold Chestnut of Fredericton; brothers: Stewart (Susan) Chestnut of Southfield, Leo (Linda) Chestnut of Fergus, ON and Harold Chestnut of Whitehorse, YK; sisters Laverne (Ralph) Leblanc of Nackawic and Lorraine (Randy) Kierstead of Moncton. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Lynn Lamey, Christopher Doucette, Helena Paton, Macaela Chestnut, Kaedan Chestnut and 3 great-grandchildren: Emily Doucette, Hannah Doucette and Malachi Chestnut. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his brother John and sister-in-law Joan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus (506-433-1176). Due to COVID-19 the funeral service will be held privately. Interment will take place in Pinegrove Cemetery, Cornhill.
