1940-2020
Bruce McIntosh Talbot – 80, Truro, passed
away peacefully on Tuesday morning, June 30, 2020, at Colchester East
Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Pictou, he was a son of the late
John and Katherine (McIntosh) Talbot.
Bruce attended Pictou Academy and The Maritime College of
Pharmacy in Halifax and then worked as a pharmacist in Halifax,
Parrsboro and Truro. He was a former member of Truro Kinsman Club and
Rotary Club, Past Master of Fellowship Masonic Lodge, Truro and Past
President of Truro Tennis Club. Bruce also spent many years as
Atlantic Regional Manager of Maple Leaf Mills Rendering Division from
1976-1985 when he obtained his pilot’s license and did
aerial photography in several parts of Nova Scotia. He returned to
pharmacy work in later years and finished his working career at
Wright’s Pharmacy in Parrsboro and Superstore Pharmacy in
Truro.
Bruce is survived by his children, Krista (Russell)
Henderson, Jan Talbot, Jason Talbot; grandchildren, Madison and Jill
Henderson, Zachary and Levi Talbot; brother, Keith Talbot, Zurich,
Ontario. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife,
Phyllis Doreen (Miers); one sister in infancy; sister-in-law, Barb
Talbot.
Graveside service and interment will be held 11 a.m.,
Saturday, July 4, 2020, at Seaview Cemetery, Pictou; all are welcome
to attend. If so desired, donations in Bruce’s memory to a
charity of choice are welcomed.
