Memorial Donation
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister,Aunt and friend. Bridget Marie Power (Bride) on January 26, 2020.
Predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Patrick Power; parents Johanna and William Poole; and sister Patricia Mary Keefe.
Leaving to mourn with cherished loving memories are her children, Annette Power-Temple (Roger); Brenda (Gary) Perry; Patti Kennedy, Patrick Power Sr (Jackie); Kim Power (Charlene) and special nephew, Jamie Wheeler. Bride is admired and loved by her 8 grandchildren; Desiree (Chad) Newman; Luke Power; Liam (Stephanie) Myers; Blair Myers; Robin Kennedy; Heather Kennedy; Power; Patrick Power Jr and Andrew Power. Her adored great-grandchildren, Jaysen Sheppard; Hannah Newman and Jameson Newman. Also Bride’s dearly loved siblings, Jean (Randy) Wheeler; Wayne (Theresa) Poole; Iris (Tom deceased) Doyle; Tom (Sylvia) Poole; Marilyn (Mike) Day; Sharon (Dave) Beck. Extended families/ special people Poole, Power, Hedderson, Moriarity, Bartlett and Rose families and a large number of nieces & nephews.
Bride, along with her husband , Patrick had a vision and lifelong passion for community. She touched the lives of many people during this time caring for seniors, volunteer and work programs for the students and play/learning programs for children. She planned many community scoials and events, she worked alongside many other people and organizations to bring back the community of Marysvale’s heritage and culture. Many people, especiality her family enjoyed her stories of days gone by, her delicious meals and her company. Throughout Bride’s life her faith, church and prayer was her constant guidance.
Our family would like to thank our Mother’s dear friends and supporters of The Heritage House, Turks Gut Conservation Committee and the member of the 50 Plus Club. A special thank you to the staff of the intensive care unit of the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for the outstanding passion and care during her short illness.
We remember the special people in her journy of life: Jim Power, Gary Myers, Bradley Kennedy, Cass Howlett, Hannah Ryan, Jon Sears, Marcus Perry, Gavin Perry and Molly Attwood.
Visitation will be held on January 29, 2020 from 12 p.m.- 9 p.m. and January 30, 2020 from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.. at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus, Nl. Funeral Mass is January 31, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church in Marysvale, Nl. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Our mother is leaving us all with a smile, a hug and a kind though.
