Obituary of Brian John Tompkins
The family of Brian Tompkins of Cranbrook, B.C., is saddened to announce his passing on December 16, 2020 at the age of 64.
Brian was born in London, Ontario in 1956. As a teenager, he moved Maple Ridge, B.C., where he completed high school. After graduation Brian worked as a butcher. He later moved to Cranbrook, B.C., where he met his wife, Lynn. They married in 1987 and had two children, Brennan, and Meghan. In Cranbrook, Brian worked at General Paint, where he became the Store Manager. After more than 25 years with General Paint, he retired in 2016.
Brian was a hard worker and a devoted father. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and collecting model cars.
Brian will be dearly missed by his children Brennan (Moraya) and Meghan (Josh); grandchildren Nathanael, Anaya, Riley, and Landyn; siblings Rick (Dennise), Dean (Kathy), Stephen (Leanne), Len (Cathy), and Darlene (Dan); mother Sondra; stepmother Marilyn; and many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Lynn; father Allen; and stepfather Harry.
There will be no formal service at this time. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
