Obituary of Brian Arthur Dougherty
DOUGHERTY, Brian passed away peacefully at home on Saturday November 21, 2020 in his 71st year. Dear father of Brian (Laurie) of Delhi and Brad (Joe Siegfried) of Mississauga. Loving grandfather of Kailey, Laiken and Ella. Sadly missed by his siblings Neil (Mary) of Scarborough, Kevin (Patricia) of Simcoe, Mike (Judy) of Roslin and Brenda (Hubert Weir) of Twillingate NFLD. Brian will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his wife Diana and grandson Mathew. Brian loved to spend time on the lake fishing. He also enjoyed the outdoors by hunting, tending to his garden, golfing and travelling. Arrangements entrusted to THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME Port Dover 519-583-1530. A graveside service will be held in memory of Brian on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Port Dover Cemetery, for those wishing to attend please call the funeral home between 9 am and 4 pm to register to attend. Reverend Tony Bouwmeester officiating. Face masks are required and social distancing between bubbles is requested. For those wishing, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank Natalie Mendola, Nurse Practitioner and palliative care nurse Elana Lloyd for their support and guidance.
