It is with sadness we say goodbye to Brian Delday who peacefully passed away at Elmwood Residences on Monday, May 25th, 2020 at the age of 68 years. Brian leaves to cherish his memory guardians, Myrna and Gordon Jones; numerous cousins, many special friends and staff at Elmwood Residences in Saskatoon. Brian was predeceased by his parents George and Evelyn Delday. Brian was born in 1951 at Dodsland, Saskatchewan and was raised on a farm south of there. In August 1969, Brian was one of the first residents to make the newly erected Kinsmen Elmwood Lodge his new home where he resided for 50 years. Brian worked at Cosmopolitan Industries since it’s opening in 1970 until his passing. Working there gave him a degree of independence as well as the pleasure of being with his peers. Brian enjoyed horses, wheelchair bowling, dancing, exercising, bingo, country music, Church services, attending Blades hockey games with Gord, going to the exhibition and Camp Easter Seal. A very special thank you to the understanding, patient, caring, dedicated staff at Elmwood Residences who provided Brian with a life full of love and laughter enriched with activities, healthy living and compassion. There will be a private Memorial Service celebrating Brian’s life at Elmwood Residences 2012 Arlington Ave. Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H5. A private interment will take place at SAAMIS PRAIRIE VIEW CEMETERY in Medicine Hat, AB. As a expression of sympathy those wishing to remember Brian may do so with a gift to Elmwood Residences Inc., 2012 Arlington Ave. Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H5.
