Obituary for Brenda Burgess
Brenda Lynn Burgess, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the age of 61. Brenda is the daughter of the late Roy & Marlene (Sherwood) VanDerVeeken. Beloved wife of Donald Burgess. Cherished mother of Taryn Burgess (Jason Kinny) and Mandy Lucier (Jeff). Loving grandmother of Makayla, Ben and Ellie. Sister of Allen VanDerVeeken and sister-in-law to Louise & Rick Campbell, Jack Burgess & Cyriel Seys, Peg Labombard & the late Jim, Fraser & Anne Burgess, Brenda Astles & the late Gary, Joan & Doug Swant and predeceased by Bob Burgess, Lee Burgess and her in-laws Jack & Margaret Burgess. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Brenda was a well-known hairdresser in town, a wonderful wife, mother & grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
