Suddenly, at his home in Whitney, on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Don Boldt, age 63, was the beloved husband of Karen McMeekin-Boldt. Loving father of David and the late John Boldt (2016), and loving grandfather of Violet. Donald was predeceased by his parents Ann and Ernest Boldt, his sister Pat and his brother David. Brother and brother-in-law of Robert, Kenny (Danielle), Mike, Andy, Bonnie (Floyd), Larry Laprieur, and Mike McMeekin. He will be sadly missed by his loving aunt Madge, Eileen (Steve), Irene, Phyllis (Clayton) and Uncle Gibb (Anita). Survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Don, was fondly known as Sam, and was a canoe ranger, and warden for the MNR for over a decade. He then moved to Brampton and was a sheet metal worker for Local 30, for decades. He then returned to his home in Whitney where he joined his family and roots and his love of the outdoors. Don’s family will receive friends and relatives at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, (41 Post St., Whitney), on Friday, December 11, 2020, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Malachy Ekezie presiding. Interment at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, McCoy Lake in the spring 2021. Due to COVID-19, strict visitation and service restrictions will be in place. Please call M.G.
