Obituary of Bob Clermont
CLERMONT- Robert “Bob” Arthur John Clermont of St. Thomas passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the age of 62. Bob is survived by his loving children David (Jennifer Ramm) and their children Charley-Ann, Isabel and Madlyn of BC, Angela (James) Leddy and their children Elin and Ryan of St. Thomas, Nevin of Sudbury, and Kenny and his daughter Chelsea of St. Thomas; by his siblings Dianne Schievink (late Ross Sutherland), Sylvia Couture, and Gary Clermont; and by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bob was born in New Westminster, BC to the late Arthur and Sarah Clermont. He was a long-time employee at Sterling Truck Plant in St. Thomas and recently at Sodecia Automotive in London. Bob was hard working man who “didn’t work fulltime, he worked overtime”. When he wasn’t working, Bob enjoyed sports, comics, cars and music, especially the 70’s Classics on the Stingray Music channel. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church 641 Elm Street, St. Thomas on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow. COVID-19 protocols will be implemented. A private interment of ashes will be held on a later date. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Fellowship Christian Reformed Church would be appreciated. Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
