The family of Blair Wood, 77, of Elmsdale, announces his death on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.
Born in Marshfield, P.E.I., he was a son of the late Almon and Ida (Sutherland) Wood.
Blair is survived by his daughters, Linda Wood, Elmsdale, Susan Wood, Lunenburg, son, Rob Wood, Victoria, B.C.; grandchildren, Nathan, Devin, Dyson, Maya, Callan, Liam; sisters, Jane Phillips, Saint John, N.B., Isabell Hughes, Eastern Passage, Elsie MacLeod, Edmonton; brother, David (Barb), Marshfield, P.E.I, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Andrea, sister Elizabeth “Bea” MacLeod and brothers Don and Wallace.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy #3, Lunenburg. Interment will take place at a later date in Brudenell Cemetery, P.E.I.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to The Dr. Susan K. Roberts Lodge That Gives (www.cancer.ca/en/get-involved/support-us/one-night-stand-against-cancer-ns/?region=ns) in Halifax would be appreciated by the family.
