Billy Justason
1954-2020
Billy Justason, 65, of Moncton, passed
away suddenly, after a year long battle with cancer on Friday, August
14, 2020 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Blacks Harbour, NB, he was
the son of the late Robert and Patricia (Connors)
Justason.
Billy retired as an Incident
Investigator with NB Power, after 32 years working at the Point
Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station, He said “If I lived closer to
Lepreau I would have never retired”. He was an avid sports
enthusiast and in his younger years played basketball, baseball,
hockey and ran cross country. Billy loved riding his Harley Davidson
and curling, which awarded him an invitation to represent team Canada
as a member of the Strathcona Cup Team in Scotland in
2018.
Billy will be sadly missed by his
wife, Carol Justason (Higgins); his children, Stephanie Schnare (Alex)
and Robbie Justason (Sarah); sisters, Patricia “Patsy”
Giddens (Bill) and Pamela Mitchell (Gerald); brother, Phillip Justason
(Colleen); as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members
and friends.
In addition to his parents, Billy was
predeceased by his sisters, Audrey Craig, Cynthia Daigle, Cheryl
Justason and Susan Justason; and brothers, Bobby and Ronnie Justason;
and godson, Jeremy Dougan.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons
Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday,
August 19, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Social Distancing Guidelines
must be followed while in the Funeral Home. A private family service
will be held at a later date.
