Obituary of Bill Given
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bill Given announces his passing which occurred on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on September 23, 1947 in Saint John, he was a son of the late George and Thyrza (Moffett) Given.
Bill will missed dearly by his partner of 23 years, Jean Taylor, his children: Jackie Given, Michael Given and Lynn Brown, the mother of his children Lillian Given, his grandchildren: Nicole and Jack Given, Jennifer, Jacob and Jacqueline Brown, Katie and Shawn Given, two great-grandsons: Nicholas and Noah, brother Richard (Heather) Given and sisters: Betty Jane (Lloyd) Smith, Joanne Roberts and Sandy Given along with many nieces, nephews and members of his extended family. Bill is also survived by Jean’s children: Stephen (Kathy), Lori (Dan) and Terrie (Joe), her grandchildren: Julie (Scott), Jordan (Jocelyn), Stefanie (Lee), Sarah (Abby), Mark (Julie) and Michelle (Jordan), and great-grandson Nick.
Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his twin sister Margot Given and his brother Michael Given.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a time when we can gather together. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of donor’s choice and online condolences can be placed at www.brenansfh.com
